He has worked with many notable reggae producers, including Bunny Lee, Watty Burnett, URoy & Derrick Howard. Ranking Joe has made over 20+ studio albums on record labels such as Trojan, Greensleeves, Culture Press, and now his own own record label named after himself. He is known for his rapid fast vocals while toasting on the mic with tongue twisting delivery that could force an auctioneer into retirement.

The Black Box is Denver’s home for underground bass heavy music. Located in downtown Denver, just a few blocks away from Capital Hill, The Black Box is a refuge and a sanctuary for music lovers who enjoy the experience of hearing music played on a proper sound system. The Basscouch IQ Sound System comes with a list of sound specs that will have most audiophiles in a hot sweat just reading. The venue is not just a place to hear good music, but a place to feel it and be a part of it.

“Like great music, great sound systems aren’t simply loud. Basscouch boasts sophisticated sonic technology designed to amplify every dimension of audio. That means that high end elements ring crisp and sweet through the immersive sub-bass that earns the system its name. The sound is viscerally thick, clean and clear from top to bottom, so its impression is danceable – not deafening.”
