Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest is a free, three-day music festival put on every year in historic downtown Fort Collins, CO. It is one of the biggest free music festivals around and always comes jam packed with a heavy hitting lineup of local acts alongside several big name headliners. The entire downtown area will be closed off, with about 6 large stages dominating some of the main streets. Alongside getting to see free music all day at the peak of summer in Colorado, there will also be tons of food trucks, drink tents with craft beer, a carnival area for families, and many booths and stall representing local businesses and organizations.
As far as Reggae music goes, there are actually several must see local Reggae acts performing this weekend at New West Fest. Their schedules are conveniently back to back, so get ready to dance. On Saturday, August 10th, you will first be able to see one of Boulder’s premier Reggae bands, Selasee & the Fafa Family, who will be playing at the Library Park stage from 4:15pm-5:00pm. After that, you can catch the up and coming Fort Collins local act, Write Minded, playing a mix of Soul/Reggae/Hip Hop/Funk at the Linden Street Stage from 6:00pm-6:40pm. Finally, you will then have to make your way right down to the heart of old town square, where you can see Fort Collin’s own Reggae pride and joy, Dubskin, performing at the Old Town Square stage from 6:40pm-7:20pm.
