AEG Presents & 97.3 KBCO are excited to announce that the legendary 311 will be performing live at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on Saturday, June 29th, 2024. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see one of the greatest reggae/rock groups of all times at the greatest music venue in the world.
The good news doesn’t stop there though. 311 will be sharing the crowd and the evening with special guests Iration, DENM, Artikal Sound System and Man with a Mission for a legendary evening of great reggae music.
311
311, originating from the diverse musical landscape of Omaha, Nebraska, formed their unique blend of rock, reggae, funk, and rap in the late 1980s. Their journey started in high school, with Nick Hexum, Tim Mahoney, and Chad Sexton joining forces, later welcoming P-Nut and SA Martinez into the fold. The band’s early years were marked by perseverance, with relentless touring and independent releases building a loyal following. Despite setbacks like a tour-ending RV fire, 311’s resilience propelled them forward, leading to breakthrough success with hits like “Down” and “All Mixed Up.” Over the years, their musical evolution continued, marked by platinum-selling albums, iconic live performances, and landmark events like their legendary 5-hour set on 3-11 Day. With a catalog spanning over three decades, 311’s commitment to their craft and their dedicated fanbase remains unwavering as they continue to push boundaries and define their own musical legacy.
Iration
Hailing from Santa Barbara, California, with roots tracing back to Hawaii, Iration brings a fusion of reggae, dub, pop, and rock to the stage. Starting in the college town circuit around UC Santa Barbara, they quickly garnered attention for their captivating live performances, blending laid-back vibes with infectious energy. With chart-topping albums like “Time Bomb” and “Automatic,” they’ve solidified their place in the reggae scene, earning recognition for their seamless blend of polished studio production and the raw energy of their live shows. From their early EP “New Roots” to their latest release “Daytrippin,” Iration’s evolution showcases a return to their roots while embracing new sounds and collaborations. Alongside their musical endeavors, they’ve ventured into diverse projects, from crafting signature beers to collaborating on exclusive merchandise, all while maintaining their passion for golf during their downtime. DENM
DENM, a rising star from Southern California, blends youthful optimism with life experience in his debut album, Slum Beach Denny. Inspired by the likes of Slightly Stoopid and Sublime, DENM’s music reflects the sun-soaked vibes of SoCal’s coast. From troubled teen to sought-after producer, songwriter, and musician, DENM’s journey highlights his dedication to the indie music scene. With influences from San Diego to Santa Barbara, DENM’s authentic sound resonates with a multicultural flair. Collaborating with industry veterans like Rock Mafia, DENM’s debut album marks a milestone in his career, showcasing his vision and maturity as an artist. As he continues to evolve, DENM remains focused on growth and exploration, poised to make a lasting impact on the music world.
Artikal Sound System
Artikal Sound System, a vibrant reggae ensemble hailing from South Florida, boasts a dynamic blend of talent and camaraderie. Formed in 2012 by Chris Montague on guitar and Fabian Acuña on bass, the band initially gained experience backing various Caribbean vocalists. As their musical journey unfolded, they welcomed the eclectic keys of Christopher Cope and the rhythmic prowess of drummer Adam Kampf. However, it was the addition of neighbor Logan Rex on vocals that truly transformed their sound, infusing it with a fresh energy and perspective.
Nearly a decade later, Artikal Sound System stands as a tight-knit unit, their collective prowess evident in their powerful performances. With influences ranging from jazz to reggae, they provide a solid foundation for their lyrically and physically dynamic vocalist to shine. Their music reflects the bonds of friendship, dedication, and creativity, all driven by a desire to spread messages of love and the simple joy of reveling in life’s moments.
Man With A Mission
Man with a Mission (MWAM) is a Japanese rock band formed in Shibuya, Tokyo, in 2010. The band, consisting of Tokyo Tanaka, Jean-Ken Johnny, Kamikaze Boy, DJ Santa Monica, and Spear Rib, gained fame for their unique wolf masks worn during performances and music videos.
Their backstory involves being created as the “Ultimate Life Form” by Jimi Hendrix, frozen in Antarctica, and emerging onto the music scene after absorbing global music influences.
MWAM’s debut album, “Welcome to the New World,” followed by “Mash Up The World,” showcased their evolving sound. They gained international recognition with singles used in anime and movie adaptations.
In 2018, they released their fifth album, “Chasing the Horizon,” marking their international debut. Celebrating their ten-year anniversary in 2020, they released a trilogy of compilation albums and performed live-streamed concerts.
Their ongoing journey includes new music releases like the EP “One Wish e.p.” and singles such as “Perfect Clarity” and “INTO THE DEEP,” the theme song for “Godzilla vs. Kong.” Their recent albums, “Break and Cross the Walls I” and “II,” signify a new phase in their musical career.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre
Red Rocks Amphitheatre, commonly known as Red Rocks, is a renowned open-air venue situated near Morrison, Colorado, approximately ten miles southwest of Denver.
