2022 Colorado Cool Vibes Reggae Festival at The Levitt Pavilion in Denver, CO

The Colorado Cool Vibes Reggae Fest is now in its second year and will once again take place at The Levitt Pavilion in Denver, CO. The annual event will be on Saturday October 1st, 2022 from 2pm – 10pm. The event will feature reggae music by both local and international acts as well as an artisan marketplace and local food trucks. Cool Vibes Reggae fest 2022 has a stunning lineup this year with some major Jamaican bands as well as some of our local favorites. This is a FREE EVENT with VIP upgrades available. Jemere Morgan (Event Host)

Jemere Morgan reggae music artist at Cool Vibes Reggae FestivalJemere Morgan is the son of legendary Morgan Heritage member “Gramps Morgan” who actually hosted the 2021 Cool Vibes Reggae Festival. Jemere is a singer and songwriter himself, as is the family way, and has released 2 full albums and an EP of his own with a mix of hip-hop, pop, and RB&B influences helping to sculpt his own unique flavor of reggae music. His most recent album, “Keep Blazing,” was released in 2022 and took him on a large release tour that included 4 stops right here in Colorado. Welcome back, Jemere!


Third World

Third World Jamaican Reggae band to perform in Denver ColoradoThird World is one of the longest standing legendary Jamaican reggae groups still performing today. Formed in the early 1970’s, Third World has released 22 studio albums during their 45+ years as a band. Their most recent album, “More Work to Be Done” came out in 2019. Stephen “Cat” Coore (guitar) and Richard Daley (bass) are two of the founding members and they are still in the group today. The bands original vocalist, William Clark “Bunny Rugs” passed away in 2014 and AJ Brown is now the new vocalist for the band. Throughout their nearly 5 decades performing, the band has gained and lost a variety of other talented musicians. The band has received 10 separate grammy nominations for their music and songs such as “96 degrees in the shade” and “Reggae Ambassador” have gained them world wide recognition across generations of music lovers. Although they are certainly ambassadors of reggae music, their style is not strictly reggae, with notable elements of funk, pop, and rock in a great deal of their songs.


Black Uhuru

Black Uhuru reggae band performing liveBlack Uhuru is a legendary Jamaican reggae band from the early 1970’s, who have achieved massive success throughout their career and are still playing shows today. Derrick “Duckie” Simpson is one of the original founders, along with Don Carlos, and Garth Dennis. Over the years, the band included many other iconic legends, such as Sly & Robbie, Michael Rose, and Junior Reid. Today the band consists of Duckie Simpson, Andrew Bees and Kaye Starr. In the nearly 50 years Black Uhuru has been performing music, the band has released 12 full length albums and have been nominated 8 times for Grammy awards. Popular tracks from their earliest albums, such as,”Sponji Reggae” and “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner” have become reggae music anthems that are still played around the world today.


Eli-Mac

Eli-Mac reggae music artistEli-Mac, aka Camile Velasco, is a Flipipino American singer/songwriter who got her big break after appearing on the American singing contest TV series, American Idol. Now based out of Hawaii, Eli-Mac’s style is a blend of reggae, hip-hop, and soul. She has worked and collaborated with top artists, including Stephen Marley, who is featured in her hit debut single, “Guava Jelly.”


Indubious

Indubious reggae band group photoIndubious is an original West Coast reggae band that comes to us from Oregon, USA. Their unique style and message of conscious music and roots reggae have gained them a large following of devoted fans and followers. The band has released 6 full length albums in recent years along with several singles, music videos, and songs that have spent time at the top of the reggae music charts. Their music has been described as “medicine music” by some listeners for the “chants, hymns, and mantras” that accompany the ever present reggae rhythm. Indubious has collaborated with many top reggae artists, including Sizzla, Vaughn Benjamin, and Mike Love, as well as shared the stage with countless other legendary groups.


Lea Love

Lea Love reggae artist from CaliforniaLea Love is an Oceanside California based singer/songwriter who first began writing and performing music at the age of 13 years old. She draws most of her musical influence from her Polynesian heritage and has created her own style and sound with R&B vocals and reggae rhythms. Her debut EP album, titled, “Way I Am” included many hit tracks, such as “Set The Mood” which featured your 2022 Cool Vibes Reggae fest host, Jemere Morgan. Lea Love is continually recording and releasing new music and makes regular appearances on stage while performing her music on tour.


Mono Verde Collective

Mono Verde Collective Denver reggae bandMono Verde Collective is a Denver-based Latin reggae band that has been playing across the front range for several years. The band includes members who come from all over Latin America, including Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. The combination of their different musical backgrounds and cultures can easily be observed in their unique musical styling. The band plays an exciting combination of both Spanish style rhythms and reggae music to create their own unique sound. They sing in both English and Spanish and feature a full band with live brass and heavy percussion on stage. Mono Verde has shared the audience with many local and international acts, including Gondwana, E.N. Young, Mighty Mystic, The Meditations, and more. The band boasts a full schedule of shows and concerts including a frequent residency at Raices Brewing in Denver, CO.

DJ Chris Milly

Denver reggae DJ Chris MillyDJ Chris Milly is Denver’s top Jamaican DJ. Chris originally comes to us from Kingston, Jamaica, but today we are lucky that he calls Denver home. You can catch DJ Chris Milly putting down all kinds of different vibes hosting reggae and dancehall nights at bars and clubs across the city and across the state. Not only is he a seasoned selector of reggae tunes but he has also been known to mash it up with Latin, Hip-hop, and Afrobeats as well.

DJ Larry

DJ Larry Denver CO reggae dancehall djDJ Larry is a Denver based reggae and dancehall DJ who comes to us from the island of Saint Lucia. He frequently performs at reggae and Caribbean nights at clubs and bars around Colorado and can often be found sharing the booth with DJ Chris Milly.
