Bio
Stylie is a breath of fresh, ganjah smoke filled air, in Colorado’s budding reggae scene. The group is one of the fastest growing reggae/rock groups in the state and that is because they have just been churning out new recordings, videos, and live performances, that are getting listeners everywhere hooked.
Stylie was formed in 2017 and they come to us from the town of Lyons, Colorado. The group consists of four core members, who have each found a way to standout instrumentally on stage. All four members contribute to the vocal harmonies of the group, while they seamlessly integrate shredtastic guitar licks, heavy dub style bass lines, and a steady reggae rhythm like a coal train coming down the railroad tracks.
The group pays tribute to the legends that have influenced their sound with their dub heavy covers and parodies that are reminiscent of similar bands like Easy Star All Stars. Stylie has a way of putting their own special sauce on every cover they do to give it that oh so unique Stylie sound. Perhaps the driving force behind all of this creativity is the fact that the band has built their own home studio in the basement of an old farmhouse in their hometown of Lyons. It is under this roof that they recently created their own record label and appropriately named it Dub Farm Records.
Stylie has performed an impressive amount of shows in their short time together as a band. They have shared the stage with many of our favorite local acts, such as Policulture and Rastasaurus, as well as had recent performances with artists such as Collie Buddz, Keznamdi, and Chris Boomer. The band is currently working on the release of the first EP. Their newest single, Up in Smoke, came out on November 18, 2019, with the rest of the EP soon to follow. The band really knows how to keep their fans entertained and on the edge of their seats by maintaining steady stream of new new singles coming out in video form every week, which they call the weekly “Dub Harvest.”
