Gracie Bassie

Gracie Bassie is a reggae music artist, performer, and producer from the town of Durango, Colorado. She is perhaps one of the most decorated local reggae musicians in the state, with a resume of performances with some of Jamaica’s best known acts. For starters, she has toured with the great Anothony B in his band. She later went on to live in Kingston, Jamaica, playing with the likes of Max Romeo and Leroy “Horsemouth” Wallace and other notorious roots rockers. 

She is the singer, song writer, and yes, the in your face bass player, for her own musical project and continues to play and record with several other reggae bands. She has her own record label called Gracie Bassie Music on which she continues to create and produce great reggae music. Her singles feature some of the very artists she has gotten to know so well while splitting her time between Colorado and Jamaica. Her latest track titled, “One Draw” features the one and only Mykal Rose.

Gracie Bassie dominates the stage as both a singer and bass player wherever she performs. She continues to produce and perform original tunes and when she isn’t on stage, you can likely find her making elaborate glass blown art in her glass blowing studio.
