The Green

Formed on Oahu in 2009, The Green is one of island reggae’s defining bands. Four lead singer-songwriters share the spotlight in a sound that blends dub-heavy roots, lovers’ rock, and pop, with Hawaiian influences throughout. Their debut single “Love I” set a Billboard Reggae chart record with 69 straight weeks on the list, and they’ve since had multiple #1 reggae albums and a long run of Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, Hawai’i’s top music honors.

This tour supports their new album Titles, written and produced by the band at Ka Ma’o Studios in Honolulu. The title track is a thank-you to longtime fans, with lyrics built from the names of their own past songs, so listen for the references.

Johnny Suite

Hawai’i-born Johnny Suite opens the night with soulful melodies and honest songwriting. His breakout single “Thank You” has passed 8 million streams worldwide, and “Beast Mode” has topped 2 million. His recent releases include “Cutie Fasho” and a neo-soul cover of Olivia Dean’s “Man I Need,” reworked as “Man You Need.” He was a 2020 Island Music Award nominee and has toured with Fiji and J Boog, and more recently opened for Josh Tatofi and FIA. He’s celebrating ten years in music and has a new album on the way, so arrive early for his set.

Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom

Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom is a natural fit for reggae. The independent venue has been a staple of the Denver music scene for over 20 years, and the building once housed the Casino Cabaret, where legends like Duke Ellington and Count Basie performed. The ballroom has a wraparound balcony and a sound system built to deliver clear audio from front to back, which matters for bass-heavy music. Cervantes’ is a regular stop for reggae, and its shows are typically open to ages 16 and up, so fans of all ages can enjoy them.
