Coloradix is a Fort Collins, Colorado-based seven-piece band blending reggae, ska, and rocksteady into a sound rooted in classic Jamaican tradition. Formed in January 2024, the group pulls inspiration from the golden era of Jamaican music spanning the 1960s through the 1980s.
Their sound is built on a solid drum-and-bass backbone, layered with tight guitar and organ grooves, rich vocal harmonies, and a dynamic horn section featuring trumpet, tenor sax, and baritone sax. The result is a full, authentic sound that pays respect to the roots while keeping things fresh and energetic.
From local breweries and backyard parties to festival stages across Northern Colorado, Coloradix delivers a lively, feel-good performance wherever they play. Mixing original songs with well-chosen covers, the band brings a genuine island vibe to any setting—big or small.
